Citizen's Police Academy
Where are the Academy classes held? The first class is always held at the CPD Training Center. One of the classes will be held at the 911 Communications Center and two classes, including Graduation, will be held in the Multipurpose Room at CPD Headquarters. Please see below for the address, map and photo with door entrances noted with red arrows.
Academy Class Locations
1511 Taylor Street (Taylor @ Bull)
Parking available in the lot.
Do not park in any spaces with RED signs.
Enter through double doors marked in photo below.
Columbia/Richland County Communications Center
1800 Laurel Street
Parking available along Barnwell Street.
Parking available to Academy students in the "Permit Parking Only" spaces.
CPD Headquarters
1 Justice Square
Parking available beside the building along Lincoln Street or in the garage directly across the street.
Enter through double doors marked in photo below. note that these doors are to the right of the main entrance doors.
